Sailing classes for beginning junior sailors are OPEN FOR REGISTRATION:
A 10 session JUNIOR SAILING class for beginning junior sailors, age
8 - 14 will start on March 27, 2010. Times are: 1pm-4pm on Saturdays.
All course graduates will receive a graduation plaque and certificate.

The
Lake Eustis Youth Sailing Foundation’s goal is
to promote the sport of sailing for the benefit of
youth in our area in an environment which stresses
safety, sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage,
self confidence, respect for authority, the environment
and our community.
The
Lake Eustis Youth Sailing Foundation offers: Year
round sail training programs for junior sailors,
age 8-18, weekends during the school months
and sail training camps during the vacations.
Advanced
junior sailors in our intermediate and advanced sailing
classes, who love to sail and want to learn more about
racing, are invited to join our JUNIOR
RACING TEAM and will
have the opportunity to participate with our Teams
in several Junior Sailing Regattas throughout Florida.

All
our junior sailing programs are supervised
and coached by our "US Sailing" Certified Instructors. Safety
is our first concern! That is why we
follow all of the US Sailing's safety guidelines at the
LEYSF's Junior Sailing Programs. All safety issues
are constantly monitored and safety is the foremost
priority during the sailing lessons. All participants

Our ‘WHIRLWIND’ Youth
Sailing Program for High School age juniors, age 14-18, is
led by the Juniors themselves and offers sail training
in ‘double handed’ sailing dinghies (2 juniors
sailing 1 boat). This very popular program also trains
for Interscholastic High School Team Sailing competition.
This program is a member of the Nationwide Interscholastic
High School Sailing Association. The ‘WHIRLWIND’ Sailing
Teams have the opportunity to participate on a regular basis
with other High School Sailing Teams throughout the South
East and beyond and may lead to College Sailing scholarships.
For this program, no experience is needed. New juniors can
sign on at any time. Cost to join our year-round junior sailing
programs is just $40 per month.

Laser
Sail Training Program, for ages
15 and up. Fee is $40 per month. Racing
practice on all club race weekends and on Wednesdays

Foundation. The Lake Eustis Youth Sailing Foundation is a

HONORARY LESC MEMBER ANDY BURDICK AND CREW TAKE 2008 NATIONAL
E- SCOW TITLE

Andy Burdick credited his team for the Team 45 victory. He has
the privilege of a consistent team of Peter Keck (who sails on
his A, E and in the old days C. Peter is a C Nationals and ILYA
Champ in his own right), Coye Harrett (also on the
Burdick/Blanchard A scow and off to Edgewood College in Madison)
and Meg Six (off to the UW Madison sailing team). Burdick's
race finishes demonstrate his continued skill in any class.
