PRESENTATION OF HONORARY MEMBERSHIP OF LESC

The greatest honor any sailing club can give to a very deserving person is to present him or her with a lifetime HONORARY MEMBERSHIP.

Our club’s Board of Directors has unanimously voted to give an honorary membership to a very deserving person.

This very deserving Honorary Membership recipient has a deep love of sailing. He is also a very well known top notch promoter of sailing and especially a great promoter of excellence in sailing and is respected and known in the National and International sailing world.

The recipient is a very gifted sailor! He has won the National MC Scow Championship not once but ten times, has his name inscribed in many other big Scow Regattas, has won with Team Melges a “Melges 24” World Championship and is a Champion of Champions Regatta winner.

But his biggest accomplishment has been and still is the huge impact that Andy Burdick has had in the continuing growth of the Scow Sailing World!
And our club, so far away from all historic Scow sailing activities, has certainly been and still is, a great beneficiary of Andy’s Zenda U Clinics: Andy’s Zenda U Clinics have made a big and very positive impact on Scow Sailing in general and have brought in many new sailors who are joining our growing MC Fleets in locations all over the country.

Andy, also thanks to your efforts, the Lake Eustis Sailing Club has grown into a recognized Scow Sailing Center in the South.

Andy, it is with great pleasure to welcome you as a lifetime Honorary Member of the Lake Eustis Sailing Club.
